What lead me to become a reflexologist;
Having experienced 3 miscarriages, I through myself into my career. At the age of 33
I felt I should try to start a family. It wasn’t so easy. I went to a Health Fayre in
Norwich and there was a reflexologist offering a short treatment for £5 – she
mentioned that she could see something in my uterus. After a time, I did fall
pregnant and a early scan showed a large cyst, which maybe what the reflexologist
picked up on. This fascinated me and when trying for a second child I sort a local
reflexologist to support me – pregnant again I was able to wangle voluntary
redundancy from my role in Financial Services and decided to find a credible training
school to learn reflexology myself.
During the training I had to carryout 8 case studies so I asked at my yoga class if
anyone would like to be a case study and one of the volunteers was a Reiki Master.
She suggested I became attuned to level 1 to protect me with my reflexology clients
and that was the start of my journey with reiki and seichem.
As soon as I qualified as a reflexologist, I advertised myself in the yellow pages locally as Jayne
Amanda Reflexology and Reiki and that was 25 years ago.
